Today's update includes the next feature for dypt, time tracking. This feature allows you to track the time you spend on tasks.
Time tracking is available on all plans, including the free plan.
Estimates and actuals
You can set estimates on subtasks, and see the aggregated time to complete your tasks trickle up through your hierarchy.
For tasks that have an estimate set, when you complete them, you'll be asked to confirm the time you spent on them. This will help you get a better idea of how long tasks take, and help you plan your time better in the future.
Filters and dashboard
You can now apply filters on estimated time values, allowing you to easily see the tasks that can be completed in a certain amount of time.
For ease, these are also shown on the dashboard, click on one of the boxes to apply that time filter.
AI estimates
You can also use AI to make approximate estimates as to how long it thinks each task will take to get you started.
"AI breakdowns" have been rebranded to "AI credits" as I expand the AI functionality of dypt into more than just breaking down tasks. Your plans have the same number of credits as before, and like with breakdowns you can choose which model to use for speed or accuracy.
AI time estimates use 1 credit per generation. This means that if you estimate multiple tasks at once, you'll still only use 1 credit.
Future plans
This is the first iteration of time tracking, and we'll be improving and expanding its capabilities in the future. If you have any feedback, please let us know.
