The big reveal
π Hey there, amazing people! Dane here, bringing you something special to elevate your dypt experience and boost your productivity. We're adding a brand new free feature to the app: public task sharing!
What is public task sharing?
π Imagine creating a task list so fabulous that you want to shout about it from the rooftops. Now you can β digitally, at least! With public task sharing, you can make any of your tasks public for others to see, appreciate, and even duplicate into their own dypt task manager account.
How does it work?
π€ Just hit the new 'Share' button from the drop down menu next to the task or via the edit task menu. Hit 'Start sharing' to generate a shareable link, and you're good to go. Spread the link far and wide; let people see your organizational prowess.
You can browse other people's shared tasks for some inspo and productivity hacks. When browsing a shared task, click 'copy', select which of your current tasks you'd like to place it under and voilΓ β you've got a new set of tasks ready to customize in your dypt account.
Why you'll love this
π Ever run out of ideas for what to put on your "Books to Read" or "Skills to Learn" list? Want a proven project plan template? With public task sharing, you can borrow brilliance from others and save time.
π―ββοΈ Itβs also a fantastic way to collaborate with friends and family. Share a weekend to-do list with your partner or a shopping list with a roommate.
Check out some examples
Here's a few examples I've shared:
- Make a delicious spaghetti bolognaise
- Fantastic productivity books to read
- My ideal morning routine
- Project planning approach
- My top level task categories
- Ideal approach to learn typescript
- Typical weekly groceries for my family
- Weekend family activities
Ensuring privacy
π Worried about privacy? Don't sweat it. Public task sharing is completely opt-in. We don't share anything without your explicit say-so. And making a task public doesnβt make your entire account public. Just the tasks you choose and any sub tasks underneath them.
